Dr. Umesh has an overall experience of over 30 years. He is currently a Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician based in Mumbai. He is an accomplished and dynamic professional with a vast experience in Clinical Nephrology, Hemodialysis, Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD), Kidney Transplants, Critical Care Medicine, CAVH, CAVHD & IPD, and Hypertension. Dr. Khanna is highly skilled and renowned for successfully managing nephrological problems in adults, and children and is a pioneer in managing patients with acute intoxications.

Dr. Khanna is credited with many firsts. He was the first to start a Nephrologist managed private dialysis unit in Mumbai and the first to institute the concept of free-standing dialysis units or community dialysis centres in India. Dr. Khanna is also hailed for successfully establishing the Nephrology Department for a number of hospitals and clinics across the Country. Dr. Khanna completed his graduate and postgraduate medical education at Seth GS Medical College and KEM Hospital in Mumbai.
