NephroPlus expands its footprint in India by launching its first dialysis center in association with Ayursundra Specialty Hospital, Guwahati

Guwahati, 25th April 2022: NephroPlus, India’s largest dialysis network and a pioneer in redefining dialysis care in India, announced the launch of its dialysis center in association with Guwahati’s heritage healthcare provider, Ayursundra Super Specialty Hospital . With the company’s strategic plan to expand its operation across multiple locations in the country, NephroPlus will now be functional in Assam’s largest city of Guwahati. This collaboration aims to provide high-quality Dialysis and kidney care management for kidney patients in the north-eastern region.

The strategic collaboration will now offer a wide range of advanced dialysis care such as a State-of- heart dialysis facility, Hemodialysis, Dialysis on call, Sustained low-efficiency Dialysis (SLED dialysis) for critically ill patients, Home-hemodialysis, and Holiday dialysis. In addition to this, dialysis guests will also be provided with NephroPlus’ advanced technologies such as Buttonhole Needles/Painless Dialysis, a Zero Infection Kit that minimizes the risk of cross infections, and a Renaclean machine used to wash dialyzer for zero errors during dialyzer reuse count. Furthermore, to ensure every dialysis guest receives high-quality care, the center will have separate sanitized beds for seropositive and seronegative patients to avoid cross-infections.

As per recent statistics, over 6000 plus kidney patients are present in Guwahati, and currently, 388 dialysis sessions are conducted at Ayursundra hospital. Furthermore, about 200,000 new patients develop end-stage kidney failure every year in India, More than 75 lakh patients live with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), and less than 30% of patients manage to get Dialysis in India

Driven by a patient-centric approach where each patient is treated as a ‘guest,’ NephroPlus encourages individuals on Dialysis to lead lives as close to normal as possible. This partnership, equipped with worldclass facilities and experienced professionals, will focus on making quality Dialysis accessible and affordable for all in these regions. In addition, NephroPlus developed a patient-centric health application called ‘the Guest App’ to boost further its commitment to educating patients on preventive kidney care. The application educates kidney patients with the latest medical news about kidney care and management and health and nutrition tips. In addition, it provides easy access to Nephrologists across any center in the country.
