An empowering gathering in Dehradun brought together over 300 dialysis patients and their families
Dehradun, 15th December 2025: NephroPlus, dialysis services committed to improving the quality of life for dialysis patients, hosted an enlightening and uplifting event designed exclusively for dialysis patients – ‘Aashayein’ in Dehradun. This inspiring initiative, tailored to support and uplift the morale of dialysis patients, witnessed a gathering of approximately 300 patients and their families, making it a memorable experience for all attendees. Furthermore, through such initiatives, this initiative enabled patients to connect with others who are undergoing similar challenges of the dialysis journey, fostering new friendships and strengthening existing ones.
The event was also attended by some of the most experienced doctors who have been associated with NephroPlus. They gave tips on how to lead normal lives despite being on dialysis, how to make food interesting with the dialysis diet and so on. Apart from the informative sessions, the workshop included enjoyable and interactive activities to help break the ice and create a lighter atmosphere. An interesting part of the event was a “Best Fistula Contest” that saw patients participate in contest for who had the best dialysis access!

The prestigious event witnessed the esteemed presence of Dr. Arun Joshi, a renowned Senior Nephrologist from Dr. NB Nephrology, and Dr. Prakash Keshavaiah, the distinguished Director of SRHU, who graced the occasion as chief guests. Their presence added credibility to the event and inspired the attendees.
The event concluded as a memorable day for the patients and others who gathered to celebrate the indomitable spirit of dialysis patients and their incredible strength and courage to the face of adversity positively.
