Carrot Paratha

Ingredients:

  • Carrot - 100 gm
  • Chopped spring Onion - 18 gm (1 small)
  • Wheat Flour - 1 cup (120 gm)
  • Red chili powder - 1 tsp
  • Oil - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Salt - A dash (0.4 gm) as suggested by the dietitian

    Procedure:

    • Firstly, wash the Carrot & grate with the help of a grater and chop the spring onion.
    • Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl, mix well & knead into a soft dough using enough water.
    • Divide the dough into equal portions.
    • Roll a portion of the dough into a circle using a little whole wheat flour for rolling.
    • Heat a non-stick tava & cook the paratha using ½ tsp of oil till golden brown spots appear on both sides.
    • Repeat steps & make 1 other paratha.
    • Serve it with curd or tea.
