Pumkin (Kaddu) Halwa

  • Pumpkin (yellow) - 100 gm
  • Milk (cow) - 1 cup (120 ml)
  • Sugar - 1 tbsp (15 g)
  • Almonds - 5 no (5 g)
  • Cashew nut - 5 gm
  • Oil - 1 tsp

    Procedure:

    • Wash and peel the pumpkin and grate it.
    • Pressure cook the pumpkin for one whistle.
    • Once the pressure cools down, mash the pumpkin.
    • Heat a pan with oil, add chopped almonds and cashew nuts, fry till lightly golden, set aside.
    • Fry the pumpkin for 4 to 5 minutes in oil, add milk, then cook on low flame.
    • Add sugar and stir, moisture begins to release.
    • Keep stirring till the halwa thickens.
    • Pumpkin halwa is ready to eat.
