Tangy Mango Rice

Ingredients:

  • Freshly grated raw mango – 1/2 cup
  • Cooked white rice – 2 cups
  • Mustard seeds – 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chana dhal – 1 tablespoon
  • Cashew nuts – 6 no
  • Groundnuts – 1 tablespoon
  • Red chilli – 1 no
  • Green chilli – 2 no
  • Grated ginger – 1 teaspoon

    Procedure:

    • Take a pan heat it and add 1 tablespoon oil to it.
    • Once the oil heats add red chilli, grated ginger, green chilli, mustard seeds, chana dal, cashew nuts, groundnuts, curry leaves and fry them.
    • Now add freshly grated raw mango pulp and cook it for 3 mins.
    • Add a pinch of salt and turmeric.
    • Now add rice to it and mix well and leave it for 3-5 mins on low heat and switch off the heat.
