Veg Besan Omelet

Ingredients:

  • Besan (Bengal gram flour) - 20gm
  • Bread (white) - 2 No. (25gm/bread)
  • Onion - 18gm (1 small size)
  • Tomato - 20gm (medium size)
  • Green Capsicum - 20gm
  • Red Chili Powder - 1tsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1tsp
  • Oil - 1tsp
  • Salt - A dash (0.4gm) as suggested by the Dietician

    Procedure:

    • Firstly wash and chop the tomato, onion, and green capsicum.
    • Prepare the besan mixture in thick form and add all the spices, chopped onion, tomato, and capsicum.
    • Add salt and mix it properly.
    • Take the bread slice and dip it in the besan mixture from both sides, greasing hand with oil.
    • Shallow fry on a non-stick pan/tawa from both sides like an omelette.
    • Serve hot with tea.
