Ingredients:
- Broken Wheat Dalia- 1 cup
- Cumin Seeds- 1/2 tsp.
- Asafetida(hing)-1 pinch
- Ginger, chopped -1/2 inch
- Garlic, chopped – 1 clove
- Onion, chopped - 1 medium size
- Tomato, chopped – 1 medium
- Bottle Gourd, diced -1 cup
- Turmeric Powder-1tsp.
- Red chilli, dry- 2 in no
- Oil- 1tsp.
- Salt-A dash (0.4gm) As suggested by the dietitian.

Procedure:
- Dry roast daliya on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes. Keep aside.
- Heat the oil in a pressure cooker, add the cumin seeds & asafetida and sauté on a medium flame for 30 seconds.
- Add ginger, garlic and onions. Sauté on a medium flame for 1 minute.
- Now, add tomatoes and bottle gourd, mix well & cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes, while stirring continuously.
- Add daliya, red chili, turmeric powder, salt and 4 cups of water, mix it properly & pressure cook for 3 whistles on low flame.
- Allow the steam to escape before opening the lid.
- Serve with cucumber raita
