Summer Hydration for Dialysis Patients: Safe Drink Choices and What to Avoid

Here are some suggested drinks for dialysis patients in this summer:

Water: The best and most hydrating option.

Buttermilk: Low-fat, buttermilk is good source of protein and calcium, it’s important for dialysis patients to consume it in moderation as it also contains phosphorus and potassium, which can be problematic for kidney. It's also refreshing in hot weather.

Green Tea: Rich in antioxidants and may benefit kidney health.
